Are you having trouble typing French accents?
Typing accents and other signs used in French can be annoying when you do not have a French (or Canadian French) keyboard. But it is just a good habit to get into, and it is quite simple.
Here are two available methods you can use:
Text editor: In MS Word or other, choose in the Insert menu bar, then Symbols or Special Characters.
ASCII codes: Press the Alt key on the keyboard and then, without releasing it, enter a number code on the numeric keypad. Then release the Alt key to reveal the letter. -> See table.
Please note that this does not work on all laptops. You must use the numpad on the right side of your keyboard to type the numbers. Ensure that the NUM LOCK key is on.
Press and hold down ALT while typing the character code on the numeric pad.
